This is a class for people with little or no dance experience who are looking to explore new ways of moving their body and expressing themselves. Trying new things is hard, so we prioritize a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where you can let go and explore! Through the fundamentals of modern dance technique, from movement patterns on the floor, to traveling boldly through space, class will build your strength, fluidity, balance, coordination, and awareness. You will experience the joy and power of dancing and explore your creative ability by making expressive choices about how you move your body.

We joyfully welcome people of all ages, shapes, and sizes to discover or rediscover how fun and fulfilling ballet can be! Trying new things is hard, so we prioritize a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, and our instructors are caring and experienced. This class is geared towards students completely new to dance, or students desiring a slower, more methodical approach.
Classes are taught with an emphasis on accumulative learning, and steps are broken down clearly and logically. Students must register for the entire session. Students with some prior experience may take this in tandem with Monday Beginning-Intermediate Ballet to reinforce learning, or to add more dancing to the week!
