Mark Morris Dance Company,

Dance Fremont announces summer intensive faculty
from mark morris Dance group Seattle.

Dance Fremont is delighted to announce the faculty for their 2010 Summer Contemporary Dance Intensive for August 9-20. Traditionally, this two week dance intensive focuses on ballet and modern dance techniques and José Limón based repertory. This summer will feature faculty whose professional careers have been strongly connected to world-renowned choreographer, Mark Morris. The daily ballet classes taught by Kitty Daniels (Chair of Cornish College of the Arts Dance Department) and Keith Sabado (formerly of Mark Morris Dance Group and White Oak Dance Project) are brilliantly balanced with anatomical and qualitative teachings. Modern dance classes will be taught by David Leventhal and Lauren Grant, both current members of Mark Morris Dance Group. Ms. Grant and Mr. Leventhal will also teach repertory sections from choreography by Mark Morris which will be shown in an informal presentation for family and friends of participants at the end of the intensive. Other techniques being offered are pointe/variations, jazz and composition.

To participate in this outstanding two week dance intensive, one must schedule an audition in a current Dance Fremont ballet class or send in an auditon video. For tuition, more auditon and faculty information, visit www.dancefremont.com and look for the Summer Dance Intensive page.
